This is an immersive digital video art piece, combining animation, 3D environments, and sound, exploring how algorithms shape and control human identity. Inspired by social media algorithms, surveillance culture, and Michel Foucault’s “Panopticon” theory, this work uses a four-act structure to show how a person moves from self-expression to total algorithmic control and erasure, revealing how we are constantly turned into data and commodities in the digital age. I used Blender, Adobe After Effects, Mixamo, and Unreal Engine for modeling, animation, and effects. I completed all visual and sound integration independently.

Lee is a digital video and immersive experience artist based in London. His work focuses on exploring algorithms, surveillance society, and the philosophy of digital identity. He specializes in using 3D animation, sound, and spatial design to build psychologically charged virtual environments. Inspired by Foucault’s Panopticon, Nietzsche’s idea of eternal recurrence, and the logic of social media algorithms, Lee’s practice reveals how humans are shaped, controlled, and ultimately erased in the digital realm. His recent work, Mystic Trail Forest, was exhibited at the Royal College of Art Graduate Show, using a cold narrative style and strong visual metaphors to provoke audiences to reflect deeply on identity, data, and the meaning of existence.
