This project draws on the ancient symbol of the Ouroboros, using multi-screen 3D animation to explore connections between mythology and ecological issues.
The Ouroboros—a serpent eating its own tail—represents cycles of birth, destruction, and renewal. It prompts reflection on humanity’s relationship with nature: how anthropocentric greed leads to environmental degradation and eventual self-destruction. Sustainable living is thus essential for balance between humans and the natural world.
The narrative shows the Ouroboros, driven by hunger, overwhelmed by desire. It consumes all around it, then itself—a metaphor for self-inflicted collapse. The work invites viewers to reflect on their ecological roles and responsibilities.
