The work explores how these structures shaped the childhood imagination of Gen Z and what remains after the dream fades.

From real-time brainwave-driven installations (Irrational Translator) to nostalgic dreamcore VR games (Echo Spy) and speculative architecture-based animations (Blue Glass), Yifan bridges critical theory with emotional storytelling. He draws inspiration from phenomenology, cyber aesthetics, and sociopolitical realities, crafting sensory spaces that question the boundaries between truth, simulation, and remembrance.

Hengyi Tong is a contemporary digital artist whose practice focuses on the “invisible” narratives embedded within the social structures of modern China. From subcultures to the psychological trauma of Generation Z, his work engages with emotional encounters that are often left unspoken.
