Digital film Synth Whisper Hall explores how emotional connections are restructured, virtualized, and ritualized through digital communication in the context of long-distance relationships, revealing the fragile and fluid emotional spaces that emerge between the virtual and the real. Through 3D scanning, Yuxuan captures the objects, bodies, and environments that shape virtual encounters, emphasizing how these hybrid spaces reconfigure the boundaries between reality and virtuality. In this constantly shifting terrain, the body, time, and memory are continuously reorganized. The project invites viewers to reflect on how emotions are co-created, inhabited, and shaped within these emerging emotional landscapes.
Yuxuan Han
Yuxuan Han is a digital artist and product designer whose practice focuses on how marginal emotions survive and ferment in a rapidly changing world. Her work is rooted in overlooked and latent emotional events and draws on theories such as dark ecology, embodied communication, and digital media. Her projects often take the form of digital film, sculpture, installation, product design, and sound design.
